Tree Service Safety and Site Protection
Tree work has real hazards—falling wood, rigging loads, equipment, and unpredictable tree behavior. At ArborAxepert, safety is not a slogan. It’s a system we follow on every job to reduce risk to the lowest practical level for your home, your family, your neighbors, and our crew.
Call NowWhat “Safety-First” means at ArborAxepert
1) Pre-job safety scan
Before any cutting starts, we identify hazards and make a plan that fits your property:
- Targets: home, windows, fences, sheds, gardens, vehicles, patios, septic areas
- Overhead: power lines, dead tops, hangers, weak unions
- Ground: ice, slope, soft ground, trip hazards, access constraints
- Drop zone + rigging plan: safest direction of travel for brush and wood
2) Work zone control
Safety on a jobsite starts with keeping the right people in the right places:
- Clear work zone boundaries and controlled drop zones
- Pathways kept clear
- People and pets kept safely away from active operations
3) Equipment + PPE standards
We don’t “make do” with questionable gear.
- Proper PPE is non-negotiable (head/eye/ear protection and job-appropriate protective equipment)
- Saws and rigging gear are checked before use
- Lifts are operated within safe limits and set up on appropriate ground conditions
4) Weather and storm decision rules
Conditions change the risk level. We adjust accordingly.
- No unnecessary exposure to high wind, lightning, ice load, unsafe footing, or unstable trees
- Storm work is approached as hazard stabilization first, not speed first
5) Property protection is part of safety
A protected site is a safer site.
- Planned movement of brush and wood
- Surface and turf protection where practical
- Controlled lowering/rigging when targets are present
6) Final cleanup + walkthrough
We finish the job properly:
- Thorough cleanup
- Walkthrough to confirm scope completion
- Site left safe and tidy
